This mini book was made in my University drawing workshop.
It is also the starting point of my current drawing style.
Mar, is the workshop organizer in The Camino studio, always have many interesting drawing workshop. This workshop was held in conjunction with the Henri Matisse cutout exhibition in Tate morden September 2014.
When Henri Matisse made cutout shapes he cut coloured paper (white papers painted with several water colours) with clean-cutting big scissors, as drawing by cutting. This way he combined two techniques; drawing and sculpting. After field research, we created our own mini book followed Matisse’s cut out technique.
このイラストは大学のThe Camino studioを主催するマー先生ドローイングワークショップクラスで制作したもの。現在の制作の原型になったもの。これはテートモダン美術館でマティスの展示に則してマティスのカットアウト技法を学んだもの。美術館で作品をリサーチした後に行われた。着彩を施した紙を大きなハサミで造形していく様はハサミで彫刻をするような感覚に。ワークショップではその工程を取り入れながらジーン制作を行った。
